Random Acts of Sharpness

Sharp Edge’s Intrepid Sharpener volunteered his sharpening service to Fire Station Twenty, the “Koger Fire Station” on the north edge of Winston-Salem, New Year’s Eve, 2010.  The Intrepid Sharpener sharpened 4-5 serrated kitchen knives, a paring knife, a Leatherman multi-tool and a dive knife free of charge.

Our local firemen are heroes that risk their lives serving our community.  They need and deserve our support as citizens.

The Koger Fire House is in need of knives for their kitchen.  If you have kitchen a kitchen knife or knives that you would like to donate, please contact Sharp Edge.  Our Intrepid Sharpener will pick up your knives, sharpen them and deliver to the fire house on your behalf.  If your knives are in good condition or if you prefer to donate directly, please drop them off at the Koger Fire Station located at 5991 Koger Lane.  Please tell them Sharp Edge sent you.

January 1, 2011 – Happy New Year!

Sharp Edge continued to support the Winston-Salem Fire Department today when our Intrepid Sharpener braved the morning fog followed by intermittent rain to volunteer sharpening services to the Shattalon North Fire Station located at 5754 Shattalon Drive.  The station had a wide variety of kitchen knives, a few pocket knives and a rescue knife that are now razor sharp.  The station was called out twice during the few hours of sharpening.  It was impressive how fast they were loaded up and out the bay door with the truck.  A big thanks to the professional crew at the Shattalon North Fire Station for serving our community!
